It's not the end, just a new beginning..

It's almost the end of the year and I have definitely slacked on my blog posting. College is over as this semester that just ended was my last. So bittersweet. Can't help but feel overwhelmed with feeling of happiness and sadness. Happy to not have to do homework again, excited to have a limitless world of opportunities available and sad to realize the life I lived for the last 3 years and a half is about to change. To leave all the valuable friends I was so lucky to meet during college is definitely the hardest part of graduating. Other than that, it's nervous and exciting to think about figuring out what to do now that I'm done with this stage of my life. To move somewhere else, to stay in CA, to go back to Honduras.. The possibilities are so many and very confusing, but I am confident it will all work out in the end :). I just need to keep my aspirations and dreams in mind as I keep moving forward. I may not be able to achieve them in the short term, but if that's the case, it won't stay that way for long.

As I reminisced on this year I realized I had forgotten to post the photos from Yoyo Barrientos publicity shoot where we wore some of his amazing wedding dresses. It was such a fun photoshoot and it was held at the Intercontinental Hotel in the city. I absolutely loved the wedding dress I got to wear, mermaid style :). Here they are, hope u enjoy them!

Dinner Buffet

Took me longer than I expected to get around to writing the second part of the fashion show post. I was sick for the last two days, not fun... Feeling way better now and ready for it! So, here are the rest of the pictures from the event! We are all wearing designs from Yoyo Barrientos, an extremely talented Honduran fashion designer. I wore a white top with a bow and a fitted high-waisted skirt made out of this beautiful off-white fabric with a champagne color kind-of-flowery pattern. I loved the texture of both pieces, especially the skirt! What do you think about it?

The event was so fun and after the show we were able to enjoy wine and delicious champagne, sample many different kinds of cheese, check out more jewelery like the one provided for us with the outfits, etc. We sat down to chat and enjoy some dinner from the buffet, I have to admit I was starving by that time and it made me so happy hahah. We ended our night by going out to a lounge and grabbing a drink with my friends.

I hope you enjoyed the photos!

Hair, makeup, outfit---> CHECK!

On Wednesday, my favorite Honduran designer, Yoyo Barrientos presented some of his outfits on a little runway show for an event. My friend and I participated in his show and these are some photos of the "getting ready" process we went through earlier that day. We head over to his shop around 4pm to try on the outfit we would be wearing. Since it was a small event, we were 9 girls and we modeled only one look each. I lovedddd mine! Then we went to the salon to get our hair and makeup done and by the time we were done it was 7:30 pm and we had to head over to the event. It was a really fun experience as always, especially when you do it with friends! I will be posting the photos from the event later today or tomorrow. Hope you like them! :)
