Some photos I took and haven't had a chance to post. 

I'm wearing a Lush jumper I love using when the weather is sunny and nice. I purchased it while on a weekend trip to San Diego at this awesome boutique downtown. I must say that jumpers are such an interesting and fun piece of clothing.

Liebster Award

Who doesn't love awards right? Well, one of my fellow bloggers from http://nypattycab.blogspot.com/ has nominated me for the Liebster Award. Thank you so much Patty! You made my day and I'm so happy to hear you enjoy my blog!

My answers to the Questions:

1. What is your nickname? Many people just call me Ale.
2. What inspired you to start your own blog? The opportunity to share with others my passion for fashion. There is something amazing about using your style as a medium to share your personality and your mood with others. I hope to inspire people to think about fashion in different ways and appreciate how much people "tell", if you will, with just their personal style and self-expression.
3. What do you think about the new bloggers? I believe every blogger has the opportunity to be successful. Personal style doesn't abide to specific rules. If it did, there would be no street fashion, fashion is a form of self-expression and the opportunity to share your view on it. All bloggers have something special to share and from my own experience, I can tell you that support from your readers is the ultimate gratification.
   
4. What is the thing that you never do in you blog? I never write about politics, religion, or other controversial topics.
5. Do you have your own camera? I do have my own camera and I have noticed that there truly is a big difference in shooting Outfit Of The Day photos with an SRL in comparison to a regular digital camera. If you plan to become a professional fashion blogger it is smart to invest in a good quality camera. At the end of the day, who would complain about tons of photos being taken and memories been shared? Cameras are the best way to keep and remember many of our special moments in life.  
6. Where is your favorite place for taking your pics? I like to switch the location I decide to take my look of the day photos. I usually pick a place that inspires me to dress that particular way.
7. Do you feel like a blessed girl? I have been so incredibly blessed in my life and even though sometimes I may forget the blessings I've been given, I try to cherish them as much as possible. Realizing the great things you have going for you makes life so much easier at the end of any day, it keeps you going forward!
8. What is you favorite desert? I rarely crave desserts, but when I do I go for something very chocolatey or a frozen pie.
   
9. What is your favorite magazine? Favorite magazine is Vogue, I love their fashion spreads!
10. What is your favorite store? Favorite store would be Zara or Topshop. If I was able to purchase everything from their stores there's is no doubt I would!

Warm and Beautiful

Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've been out of the loop lately but I caught whatever it is that is going around and was feeling under the weather for a couple of days. I'm now back and weirdly enough Southern California weather has been all over the place. The fall weather I just wrote about seems like it was just a tease. This week has been very hot which helps with my recovery but I'm ready for the cold to creep in.

This is an outfit I wore the other day while it was sunny and warm. I'm wearing a new denim dress I purchased at this boutique while visiting San Diego...there is just something I find so fascinating about cut-outs on shirts/dresses. Also, I saw the chance to wear the new apple green necklace I purchased recently; I had been having some trouble matching it with my latest outfits.

Love me some Arm Candy

Who doesn't love Arm Candy?

We all do, and I have been looking everywhere for some new bracelets to accessorize my looks. I was shopping at fashion island a week ago and I ran across these bracelets I just had to get. I also found these bright yellow earrings which will go perfectly with a new Lush jumper I recently bought and you will get to see the look all pull-together sometime next week for sure :)

British Invasion - TOPSHOP

If you are into fashion you definitely have heard of Topshop, mostly everyone loves their clothes and I am definitely one of those girls. Nonetheless, for us residing in CA, Topshop had only been available for online ordering :(. Now, they have collaborated with Nordstrom, FINALLY venturing into SoCal & there was no way I was gonna miss this British invasion.

Nordstrom at South Coast Plaza has started featuring the brand and they had a fun and british-themed grand opening event to commemorate this. They had a London phone booth for people to take photos with and you were able to browse and be amazed by the trendiest clothing items. Sequin shorts, beautiful dresses, faux-leather jackets, so many items adorned with the spikes we all go crazy for. If you live in the area you have to go check it out. If you are on a budget beware because you will want to buy everything.

Below are some photos I took while at the event. I finally got to wear this beautiful turquoise pleated maxi skirt I've had for a few months, but had to alter. After the event, I headed to a rooftop bar in Laguna Beach and this was the perfect outfit to wear while sipping on mojitos and watching the sunset while overlooking the ocean :).

Driving in Style - Newport Beach

These are some photos from an event I went to with some friends a while back but I hadn't had a chance to post. This time it was for the unveiling of the redesigned 2013 Porsche Boxster at the Newport Beach Porsche dealership. Great event, we got to see the new amazing porsche and also our favorite restaurant A Market was catering the event so that was perfect! Then we ventured to the beach for a fun day in the sun.

I wore a simple outfit, a flowery dress from Forever XXI I bought about a year ago, some beige wedges and my new bracelet and feather earrings. The bag you probably remember from previous posts, I have been making good use of it lately.

Also, I will now be blogging every Mon, Wed & Fri so look forward to my new posts :).

Since the giveaway for the $25 giftcard for Love Culture ended today I figured I would close it with some photos from an outfit incorporating a shirt from the store. I wore this last weekend to go to happy hour with some friends! I picked this shirt from Love Culture because of the beautiful collar and its design! Also, this is my first time wearing these exotic print shorts I got from Forever XXI and I have to say they are so amazing! They are silky and they feel as if you're wearing pajamas, only difference is that I can actually wear these ones out! They are very comfortable and I love the vibrant colors. Fortunately for me, I bought the shirt before buying the shorts and then realized they are perfect together!
